Connie Wenzel-Jordan
Connie filebook services Connie is a professional writer and graphic designer who has worked for nearly seventy organizations, businesses and publications, mostly in New England. While her usual focus has been persuasive writing for marketing and public relations, she is an accomplished editor for all types of written material including feature articles, technical material, medical writing, presentations, and speeches. And yes, even creative material.
She began writing and editing at an early age, as an eleven-year-old publishing her school's newspaper. Forty-four years later, she's still publishing a newspaper, this time a daily digital news publication for her hometown of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. She spends the rest of her time designing websites for a variety of clients, caring for her family, and pretending she lives in simpler times.
Connie believes that a good editor needs to be gentle, yet firm and understanding. "Every writer's work is precious to them," she notes, "and they are understandably cautious and protective."
"I learned long ago to explain my role as someone who will tidy up, sweep the dust from the corners, and polish the work until it sparkles and shines."
Just don't ask her to wash windows or walk the dog.
